Day 33 Rekindling my motivation

Today, something happened that rekindled my motivation to learn English.

I was talking with one of my classmates on our way to play badminton as an after-school activity. During the conversation, he shared his purpose for learning English: to be able to communicate with people from other countries. He mentioned that he wants to move up to a higher class by the time he graduates from the language school. I learned from him that he has been studying English every early morning and late at night for six months. The most surprising part is that he is 12 years older than me.

Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit tired because I’ve been losing confidence in myself. Even though I scored reasonably well on the TOEIC Listening and Reading Test before, I’ve been struggling to speak smoothly with local New Zealanders. However, his passion and dedication inspired me, and today I was able to rekindle my motivation. I truly appreciate him for that.

I will review all the handouts from previous classes.
Thank you reading!
